Perfect ending?

I am into those unrealistic love stories tht will never happen in this practical world. I love it as it can bring me a moment of joy and happiness, at least. I very much envied the characters in it though it might sounds facade or deluding but maybe it really does happen in real life, or not?

Well, no such thing as a perfect match. Not even a perfect love. I still yearn for it though. lol. Sounds insane? I am alrdy out of my sane world, so it doesnt really matter.

The late gift - we'll be exchanging our C'mas pressies ltr on. I bought something essential for a woman, especially when we are slowly growing more mature. I was satisfied! This yr our potluck is being called off (no one mention abt tis either) maybe bcos most of 'em are busy working.

I will be getting some stuffs ltr. I need another book - to keep me occupied. I love reading recently. Sounds hilarious uh? I wanna laugh at myself too. Seems like I am experiencing a new life. Yeah a "new" life. Something I wldnt do if I am what I used to be. I feel so homely now. Omg! Is tht a gd or bad thing?

As long as it makes me happy, who cares if it is gd or bad.

But am I happy, or not?

Finally, it's Christmas again!

However, I dont feel the thrill inside me to party this night out. I cant understand why am I having this weird feeling. I dont knw why am I at home on the eve. hahs~!

Kenneth called. He is gg to Lunar, as usual. I was reluctant so I rejected his invite. Staying at home wld be better, rather. I suppose. I knw something is very wrong but I just cant seem to explain this.

Anyway, one good news - I'm no longer in the category of "jobless" slacker. teehee~! A brand new year marks a brand new hope for me. I was excited and looking forward to my 1st day - 5th Jan 09. *grin*

So far my new colleagues look fine to me. Friendly, at least. :) I've found out an easier way for me to get to work and it's more convenient for me too. A straight bus and a 10mins walk will do.

I've watched Twilight last Sunday and it was really nice! I like it~! Especially the vampire, Edward. Maybe bcos I've not read the book bfore gg to catch this show but aft reading, I do agree that alot of details are being missed out. Perhaps it is bcos of the duration of the movie. Just the "edited" Twilight movie alone takes abt 2hrs alrdy, I cant imagine if they were to film the whole book into a movie. It will be damn long. Nevertheless, the overall is satisfying just that the ending cld be ended better than just dancing at the prom romantically. lol. I didnt knw that it was the ending alrdy. hah.

I guess the CNY coming up in Jan isnt the same as bfore. Very quiet, I can say. I dont really feel it coming at all. I tot CNY just ended "not long". lol. Sounds rather idiotic eh? Honestly, I am feeling so bored of life that I really need something to charge me up.

Hoping tht 2009 will be a better year. YES, it will be! :)

Finally, I set my foot in Zouk last Friday! Not a bad decision though. I went with Bec and Corrine. Had fun, of course! Been ages since I last went. Music wasnt too bad just tht champagne kinda kill me.

I super hate lizards!

I just had an awful encounter with a lizard in my kitchen!

WTF!

I was opening my kitchen drawer to get a fork when I heard something dropping and it somehow didnt land on me (heng~) but landed in a shallow basket (into the plastic bag) which we use to put all the rubbish (beside the kitchen basin).

At 1st I didnt knw it was a lizard till I went nearer and took a peep. I saw the lizard LOOKING AT ME and it is struggling like hell inside the plastic bag trying to get out. The sound of the plastic bag tht this lizard made creeps me out! After a few attempts, it finally get out of the basket and escaped towards my rice cooker. It really freaked me out and I am so lucky tht it didnt land on me cos I was very close to the basket. *phew!

Euuwwww~! GROSS!

Beware of "black shop"!

Just to share with you an awful experience I had when I went to Far East Plaza to set my hair last Saturday evening.

Due to time constrain, my cousins and I went to the 5th level and saw this particular hair salon empty. As it is a Saturday and most of the salons are full, we went in to this shop to check out the price.

There is only one male stylist tht time and he quoted us $30 for a "normal" hairdo. If we want to half-tie our hair is $40 and $40++ to tie the whole hair up. I find it rather strange but didnt probe much. So we settled in and he called for another male stylist who went for a smoke. Both are Msians.

So 4 of us (me, my sis and another 2 cousins) sat there waiting to be served. One of my cousin and I went 1st while my sis n another cousin waited. I told tht Msian (ah beng looking) stylist wad I wanted for my hairdo (half-tie with volume and curl for the rest of my bottom hair) and he really had no skills at all. He half tie my hair with a rubber band (which I can do it myself too) and tried using hair pins to pin up my hair to make the volume but it failed.

After several attempts, he gave up. My cousin and sis who're waiting left (as they saw how badly he attempt to do my hair). Then, he tried another hairdo - plaits from the right to the left. The outcome really stunned me cos I look exactly like some moron trying to act like a primary sch girl. The whole look doesnt suit my make-up and wont go well with wad I'll be wearing that night. I dont knw if I shld laugh or cry. In the end, I gave up too!

This salon is really a con-shop, "black shop".

Later, I went to look for my sis at another salon which is MUCH BETTER and even CHEAPER! They charge only $28 for ANY hairdo be it half-tie, whole hair or wadever. I felt cheated by the 1st salon. I cant stop whining as tht Msian guy wasted my time there!!

I finally learn my lesson - when there is no one in the salon while the rest of the salons are busy, something is amiss!

LADIES! Please DO NOT patronize this saloon(unless u dont mind being cheated) - Peridot Hair Boutique tagline: we style you shine (it doesnt tally with the exact services they did) located at level 5 #05-85, near escalator. They simply treat their customers as "cai tao". Their skills DO NOT worth the price that they quote at all!!!

The msian guy who fail to do my hair gave me his namecard and his position over there is a Creative Director?!! Omg! He isnt creative at all and simple styling seems so difficult for him. He is just like an ah beng trying to be a professional hair stylist when he is actually not. I can tell that he is not focus at all and he kept talking abt soccer bets with his colleague (the other Msian guy).

The result I got for my hairdo at the other salon (Clover Hair Salon, #03-12) really satisfied me big time! The hair stylist there is meticulous and more professional. Their skills is definitely worth the price. Any styling for ONLY $28! If you happen to have a wedding to attend in town, you can set your hair at this shop.

22nd Nov - Wedding bell rings!

Last Sat was my cousin's big day! Everyone in our family is very excited. The night before, I went over to her house and prepare the necessary stuffs we need to use during gate-crashing. There are games and forfeits. One of the "must do" is to eat/drink the sour, sweet, bitter and hot thing tht we gave the brothers. Fun indeed!

The next day, I woke up early like 5+ am and got myself dressed up in white before heading to her house. All the sisters arrived on time and we start to prepare ourselves for the gate-crashing. Abt 8.10am, the groom arrived and we heard them horning. My bro, being the youngest guy in the family went down with 2 oranges to help the groom - my jie fu, open the car door.

There they come and the girls standing at the gate guarding them. 1st thing to do - ask for ANG BAO lah. lol. We total got 4 red packets and the 1st game of the morning is to get the guys plan their dance steps in the given 1min using the music we played. Those who cannot coordinate well with their dance steps or their dance steps are messy will bear the forfeit tgt (needless to say, even if they r not in the wrong, we will sure find fault at them). End up, their dance steps are really damn sucks. NO CREATIVE at all man. Their "left-right, left-right" dance steps are so out of date.

Being jie-mei is really very tiring, we've to follow the bride where ever she goes and just being there. The camera man will keep taking pictures of my cousin and also the sisters. I smile till I can feel the muscle inside my face is crampy.

I simply love the night part, where the 9-course sumptous dinner will commence. My another cousin and I are in-charge of the recept. So many ppl arrived and somehow "jam" the whole cocktail area. I'm feeling very happy still. When most guests arrived, my cousin and her husband will proceed to their 1st march in. The whole ballroom is so big and grand. The stage is beautifully decorated. My cousin is so gorgeous that everyone set their eyes on this couple. Their face look so stiff while strolling in.

I can feel the happiness at tht present moment. The photo montage is just like a story book narating their story bit by bit. Impressive!

What are family and friends for?

It's a hearty catch up with my dearest cousins weeks ago on a saturday night..I really cant remember the exact day. However, I really appreciate them to be there for me when I really needed them. *loves

We grew up together since we're very small. I hardly meet up with them as they both live in the west area. It's been so long since we last meet outside for drinks. I really enjoyed myself!

On the same night, my ex-colleagues from VS drop by and catch up with me, drinking tgt with me too. It's been months we havent see each other and it is really great seeing them again :)

I met up with another ex-colleague nt long ago too. They're all nice ppl...

What's going on?

Well, it's been almost a month since I last blogged. I dont knw if my PC is screwed up or it's the blogger. This "create post" page isnt right. I cant choose my font neither can I post my pictures.

Anyway, I will just blog wadever here for the time being.

Recently been rather fine. I've FINALLY started my job hunting after procastinating it for 8375929134 days/weeks/mths. Actually I cld have gt the job alrdy but I seriously cant start work immediately as I nd to attend a wedding in Msia next mth and the groom alrdy bought the ticket alrdy. Damn it! Wrong timing for me. I quite like the working environment cos it is a penthouse-type office and it is at the 23rd floor. Superb nice view!! Shall just leave it to fate...

2 more days and it's my cousin's wedding. I am alrdy getting excited nw. Though it is nt my wedding but 1st time being jie-mei sure make me feel many butterflies in my stomach. This wedding really cost me a bomb! Morning and night 2 different outfit, wad do u think? Shall upload the beautiful pictures asap and hopefully till then my blogger will be back to normal. I guess another reason for me being so excited is also bcos of the gate-crashing part. *evil laughs* The guys are in a big fix!

Chinese new year is less than 2 months away and I seriously dont feel excited at all. It is really very bored this whole year. Basically 2008 simple sucks lah. Things are not right for me this whole damn year. Just hope that it will quickly end and 2009 marks a better year (which I suppose wont make any difference base on the current economic situation). Sigh~! Money is always the main cause, ALWAYS!!

Have you ppl notice a trend nowadays? Thai disco is slowly bcoming more and more popular in spore. Many places are now having more and more Thai disco pubs, even in Boat Quay. I can simply name a few places like East Coast Resort (previous Home Ktv), Shenton way Geographer and Sabai, City Plaza etc. I've been to a few of this places and I am so stunned by the fact that now many guys often patronize there. Often, these places are with Thai girls hanging ard or some working there as dancers or wadever. Sick! I suppose more and more of this "outsiders" are slowly coming spore to earn a living and also indirectly result a growth in sporean-thai r/s. Normally, ppl or rather guys who go to this places mostly are those gangster, ah bengs. REALLY! Everynight or most of the nights, fights and blood or broken glasses are something common in this places alrdy. Damn sucks right?

Of course, I am somehow influenced by this trend bcos of my bf and the ppl he's hanging out with. I cant deny that thai liveband is really nt that bad and rather entertaining. Although you dont understand a single thing they're singing but some of em' are rather nice songs. I've saw this random guy who is attached but came to this particular thai disco pub hugging another chinese-speaking girl BEHIND HIS GF'S BACK. He knws that I recognise him and even asked my bf to tell me not to badmouth him to his gf. WTF! I've nv spoken to his gf bfore, I just saw her a few times lah but still he is just crap lah. If he is scared to be seen, then hide at home lah. He wanted me to keep quiet abt it when he can hug another girl OPENLY in a public area and can feel scared to be recognise or being spot. I really condemn such ppl.

All the best to his Gf lah. To have such a bf, I really think she sure knws wad kinda guy she is with too. I personally feel that, guys who always go to such places really not a single soul can be trusted. That's also the reason why my bf and I kept quarrelling. How I wish all this places will be banned by the government or raid by all the police and eventually business is no gd so CLOSE SHOP lah.

Now everything in spore seems right but I dont think so at all. Shall talk abt this some other time. Turning off soon, tired. I've been slping early lately. Need to wind back "my clock" to the correct timing.
